GREAT RESTAURANT IN COMOX!I really recommend anything with seafood. Their burgers are great and all but since there are next to a marina and the ocean... Plus they have great seafood.The seafood chowder is really what drives me to this place. It's one of the best.The oysters were great. The halibut fish & chips the Coconut curry Cod; all great. Anyway you get the idea.Great place with great food, and nice staff and service.
Wonderful appetizers Baked Brie with Peaches/tasty calamari and delectable Crab Mac and Cheese for dinner. Amazing service from three or four servers! An evening sunset view over the river was mesmerizing. Would make this a weekly habit if I lived in Comox!
Expensive, but decent food. I didn't get as much food as I felt I deserved for what I paid.The parking is severely lacking in the area, having a disabled person along meant we had to sit and wait in the parking lot hoping for a spot to come available (the people in the handicap spots either had no tags or expired tags). For a community with many retired and older people, the handicap spots were lacking.A Friday evening during tourist season meant the noise was deafening, I had to put my mouth against the ear of person beside me so they could hear me, I had to nearly yell at the person directly opposite me.The wait staff were great, cheerful, and prompt. I believe the manager or owner (good looking blond woman) even made a point to visit every table and check on almost every guest despite the place being packed.I appreciated seeing all the serving staff were wearing comfortable footwear rather than dressy, painful heels and loafers. They were all in sneakers and practical shoes, I think that's a sign of good management.
Location location location! The patio has the best view for a restaurant anywhere in the valley! Gorgeous overlooking the marina at sunset. The food was worthy of the location - lots of variety. Well worth it.
Above and beyond...the only way to describe the efforts the Blackfin team went to help me with the corporate event I hosted. The food was great and the service and attention to detail were extra special. Not only did you get me out of a jam ... you provided a product that was worthy of accolades. THANK YOU!
