Outdoor team sports are often played in this park. Though I haven't ever attended a event held in this park, I did note that there is a concession stand - possibly with bathrooms - in the middle, inbetween the several fields. Local folk's often use these fields for playing fetch or Frisbee with their dog's - please remember to be responsible dog owner & pick up after your pooches, thank you. Lovely trails for a stroll, ride or run in the woods, start just beyond the playing fields . Must warn you - trails all go down hill on the way out & uphill on the way bac . Nice place for a in town walk. Think the trails in the woodland forest is actually called the "Lazo Marsh/ Northeast Woods". These trails can be accessed from Highland Park & HP parking lot which is on either side of Torrance Road or Brooklyn Elementary School. Dog's - on & off leash.
